Why do People Volunteer?

Volunteers are the unsung heroes of our organization – always willing to take the fight against cystic fibrosis to the next step.

Ask why they volunteer and you’ll get dozens of answers.

• My brother has cystic fibrosis.
• I want to make a difference.
• I’m new to my community and want to make new friends.
• It’s a great opportunity to develop new skills.
• I’m good at raising money.
• I had time to spare and a friend asked if I could help organize an event. That was five years ago and I’m still volunteering.
• I like the people I volunteer with. We’ve become friends, and part of a caring extended family.

There is a unique volunteer position waiting for you at your local Cystic Fibrosis Canada chapter. Whatever the reasons for volunteering, we need your skills, experience, talent, concern and passion. You can make a difference every day in your community in the lives of people with cystic fibrosis.
