Applications received by the date indicated in the application schedule will be assessed by the Foundation's Medical/Scientific Advisory Committee in November. Clinic Incentive grant applications received after the October 1 deadline will be subject to a penalty equal to 10% of the value of the award, for the first year, plus an additional 10% for each subsequent year that an application is late.

Clinic Incentive grant applications are adjudicated by members of the Medical/Scientific Advisory Committee. The recommendations of the Medical/Scientific Advisory Committee are presented to the Foundation's Board of Directors for approval in late February. Applicants are then notified, usually by the beginning of March, of the outcome of the competition. In addition to the Clinic Director, copies of the award letters are sent to the Nurse Coordinator; the financial officer of the institution concerned; and co-signatories on the application.
