Treatments for People with CF
Treatment programs are tailored to each person with cystic fibrosis. The treatment plan depends on the stage of the disease and organs affected. Treatments may include:
- Medications to treat different aspects of lung disease, such as infection and inflammation
- Airway clearance techniques to rid the lungs of mucus
- Nutrition regimen which may include digestive enzymes and vitamin supplements
- Transplantation for end-stage disease
