As adults with cystic fibrosis are living longer, many are now having children of their own. While this is a sign of the tremendous progress that has been made to advance the health of Canadians with cystic fibrosis, this also brings a unique set of challenges for people who live with CF. Managing CF care and treatment takes time and free time is often elusive for parents.
How do you find the time to stay on top of treatments while chasing a busy toddler? How do you explain CF to your child or children who are different ages? What are those pills for? How do you manage as a family when you need to go to the hospital for weeks at a time? These questions, along with others will be answered by our panel of experts, including moms and dads who live with cystic fibrosis and Dr. Heather Switzer, Senior Child Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student, Hilary Power.
Send in your questions in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
